About
Hello! My name is Jess, however online I go by either Gryphonic,
Animatonic or ThatFurryArtist (TFA). Gryphonic is the standard
name I use, Animatonic is the name that my art-based Youtube
channel goes by, and ThatFurryArtist (or TFA) is the name of my
Deviantart account - and probably the one that I'm currently
most known by.
I'm a 16 year old high school student who is looking to pursue
art and games as a career. In particular, I'd like to develop my
own arts-based entertainment company that covers things such as
animated series, novels, comics, and game development - or tackle
the projects I have spanning all of these categories solo, and
publish them under my name. In addition to this, I hope to grow my
social media platforms, especially my Youtube, so that I can go on
and gain the support to make these projects bigger and better.
The character that you see to the right is my mascot and main
character, Jacob. Honestly, your best bet of finding me online is
to look for the purple, black and white fluffy dragon and you've
probably found me - he's basically the 'face' of my online presence. Jacob means a lot to me and has been my mascot for almost four years, and I fully intend on him sticking around for much, much longer.
I specialise in 2D static art, however I do enjoy meddling in other art forms when a new project or idea comes to mind. Some other things I have tried are 3D modelling, game development, animation - both frame-by-frame and tweening, animal skeleton reconstruction, and pixel art, among other minor things. The art forms stated are ones that I've had more experience in, enjoyed, and would like to pursue more in the future.
I'm a very ambitious person - there's not many projects I think of which I don't think I would be able to achieve in some roundabout way. However, getting the means (funds, equipment, time) to actually put those plans into action is what stops me from accomplishing them. So for the time being, step by step, I try to work towards each of those goals until I'm in a position where I can completely put them into motion - whether that be a unique opportunity, others being interested enough to help me work towards that end goal, or just having enough time to spend furthering each.
Some of the various ideas that I intend to work with on my projects include comic creation, 2D and 3D computer and mobile video game development, animated series work, and novel writing. Although, obviously, there is a lot of work that would be involved in each, I hope to one day have them all complete when I get the means to make them a reality.
For now though, that is probably all you need to know about me. If you wish to see some of my work or the projects I have in development, please feel free to browse my social medias (as linked below) or to have a look through the navigation bar for this website.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy!
- Jess (Gryphonic/Animatonic/TFA)
